A World Without Borders

A 2001 photo exhibit by Alejandra Platt-Torres at the
Arizona State Museum documenting the
Arizona-Sonora border.

The Confluencenter works with its scholars, other campus departments and units – along with the greater Tucson community – to produce public events that push disciplinary boundaries and showcase innovative ideas. Our events feature presentations by UA faculty and graduate students, as well as collaborations with local non-profits, public intellectuals and activists.

In September of 2001, the Confluencenter teamed up with Arizona State Museum to bring “A World Separated by Borders,” a photo exhibit by Alejandra Platt-Torres documenting the Arizona-Sonora border.
