The Confluencenter, a research center under the purview of the Office for Research and Discovery, is a campus unit dedicated to providing the tools and resources necessary for advancing the UA’s research goals. Established in 2010 as a means of cultivating cross-disciplinary collaboration, the Confluencenter is committed to sponsoring interdisciplinary projects that address complex issues in the arts, humanities and social sciences.

Confluencenter teamed up with Arizona State Museum to bring “A World Separated by Borders,” an exhibit of photos by Alejandra Platt-Torres documenting the Arizona-Sonora border beginning just after September 11, 2001. Read the Zócalo article, watch the panel discussion Arizona Public Media filmed.
